Hiking to Ak-Sai Waterfall in Ala-Archa National Park

Hiking for a few hours is another great option for outdoor activities in the Ala-Archa gorge. The tour route passes through the mountain forest, alpine meadows and “badger plateau”, where you can meet animals, as well as hares and, if you’re lucky, even argali (mountain goats)!

Our destination point is located 2,5 kilometers from the parking, but one kilometer in the mountains is not the same as one kilometer in an urban environment!

Usually the way to this place and back takes about four hours. The difference in altitude on the route – 465 meters (from 2200 meters at the parking to 2665 meters at the final point), and all the way you will be surrounded by beautiful rocky mountains.

On the way you will see a magnificent panorama of the Ala-Archa gorge. We can provide tours  also during the autumn and winter, but you should prepared for slippery track (because of the rain or snowing  track will get slippery sometimes). But don’t be worry, our guides will take hiking sticks for you. Having reached the goal, we will be happy to help you make great pictures and drink hot delicious tea, which will give you energy to continue the walk!
